Hey All,
The PhiDiva has been busy, busy, busy! First, let me tell ya’ll that I have been able to keep off 13 pounds of my initial 16 pound weight loss! Yay me!!!! Well it has not been easy. I have had to fight, tooth and nail, to keep track on my diet plan. I am really struggling to make my healthy eating habits a way of life and not just some fad diet. THIS IS A MUST IF YOU WISH TO KEEP OFF WEIGHT LOSS!
Anyhoo, I have spent some time in the Mississippi Delta. During my visit (tour), I noticed several things that really bothered me then and now.
- The Delta has such rich land, but is the poorest region in the nation
- African Americans (a majority NOT all) do not seem interested in education
- Of those African Americans who are educated, some still are not employed and even some show no interest in becoming employed (this is just my opinion)
- Some institutions of higher education in the Delta are suffering BIG TIME! (note to self: DO SOME RESEARCH ON MOVING CHILD…)
- Finally, what can WE do to help this region?
I plan to revisit the items above to conduct some research studies that may help to shed light and secure funds for programs to support my causes. Want to help? Tootles!
